Modeled after an angel-investment network for impact, we provide more than just funding: we offer strategic guidance, mentorship, and visibility — shining a light on projects that inspire understanding, strengthen identity, and build lasting impact.

Micro-Funding Scale (Up to NIS 100,000)
Projects must be high-impact yet achievable within a modest funding framework, ensuring fast action, measurable outcomes, and efficient use of donor resources.

Our Story
Founded in 2025 by Nicci Raz and Tanya Ephron, The Secret Light Project was created to unlock impact — removing the barriers that prevent high-potential changemakers and organizations from scaling meaningful work.
After years of leadership in Jewish communal organizations and philanthropy, Nicci and Tanya saw a recurring challenge: too many powerful initiatives struggle to grow due to limited access to funding, strategy, and visibility. At the same time, donors often lack clear pathways to support projects with measurable outcomes and long-term sustainability.
The Secret Light Project was designed as a new kind of impact incubator — pairing micro-funding with mentorship, strategic guidance, and amplification to help initiatives move from promise to proven impact, quickly and responsibly.
Our model is built on partnership, accountability, and results. By connecting donors, advisors, and grassroots organizations into a single ecosystem, we accelerate growth, strengthen execution, and ensure that resources translate into real-world change.

The People Behind the Mission
Nicci Raz — Founder & CEO
Nicci Raz is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of leadership experience across real estate, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. She previously served as National Director of the South African Zionist Federation (SAZF), where she led national pro-Israel advocacy and major global initiatives, including President Isaac Herzog’s Voice of the People project. After making Aliyah with her family in 2019, Nicci founded The Secret Light Project to advance sustainable, values-driven initiatives that deliver measurable social impact and long-term resilience for Israel and the Jewish people.

Tanya Ephron — Co-Founder
Tanya Ephron holds an Honours degree in Clinical Psychology (Cum Laude) and spent 17 years in South Africa’s specialist recruitment sector, ultimately serving as Chief Operating Officer, leading strategy, talent development, and operational leadership. Since making Aliyah in 2017 with her husband and three children, Tanya has focused on philanthropic and community-building initiatives. As Co-Founder of The Secret Light Project – Israel, she helps fund, mentor, and amplify grassroots changemakers strengthening Jewish identity and pro-Israel advocacy worldwide.
